Venture Niagara

For many entrepreneurs and small businesses, the lender of choice is Venture Niagara. Venture Niagara provides financing to business owners in the small towns and rural areas of Niagara region who have a sound business plan but can't get support from traditional lending institutions like banks and credit unions. Since 1985, Venture Niagara has helped hundreds of enterprises to expand their operations, creating more than 1,000 jobs in the process.

In early 2010, Pier 8 Group helped Venture Niagara to develop a marketing plan that targets businesses in traditional sectors like agriculture and the wine industry, as well as emerging enterprises in renewable energy, digital technology and bio-products. Using information that we gathered from surveys and interviews with business owners and economic developers, we refined the organization's positioning and redesigned its marketing tools.
