The Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo, Wellington, Dufferin works in partnership with employers, job seekers and other community agencies to identify workforce trends and employment opportunities in the region. The Board recently took on greater responsibilities for labour market research and planning for the region. As well, the County of Dufferin, previously served by a different local board, was added to its catchment territory.
Previously known as the Waterloo Wellington Training and Adjustment Board – a name that referenced its role in promoting training and skills development – the organization required a new name and brand to reflect its changing mandate and its expanded geographical reach. Pier 8 Group assisted the Board in developing a new name, designed a new logo and created communication resources to launch the brand.
