Southwestern Ontario HIV/AIDS Community

Pier 8 Group assisted the London Regional HIV/AIDS Community Planning Committee in developing a five-year plan for organizing and delivering services to people living with HIV/AIDS. The project – one of 12 such initiatives established by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and Ontario AIDS Bureau – focused on the City of London and the six area counties: Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Perth, Huron and Lambton.

During the two-year process Pier 8 Group conducted extensive research, including interviews with healthcare stakeholders, online surveys, focus groups, and an inventory analysis of available HIV/AIDS services and programs. A media relations strategy was developed and a conference organized, where regional and provincial research findings were presented to stakeholders.
